One day, a Sufi Sheikh told his students that he had a dream where he met the likes of ibn Arabi, al Hallaj, al Ghazzali, etc. They asked the Sheikh "What were they like?" The Sheikh said, "If you saw them, you would think there was nothing remarkable about them at all, and if they saw you, they would think you might be evil djinns."
One of my greatest struggles is not to be blinded by what I see.
