They Are Not Conservatives.

Conservatism was once an ideology that attempted to apply caution to aggressive and possibly reckless economic and political change. Now it’s used as a front to “own the Libtards”.

This is not a philosophy.

What was once fiscal responsibility and debt management became rabid, uncontrolled state-sponsored cash grabs from the almost completely extinct middle class to the rich with unfunded tax breaks.

It is now the State Department and Military walling off terrified fugitives and alienating Brown people while staffing the State Dept at 50% levels.

Republicans / conservatives turn a blind eye (at best) to dictators, and pretend to have summits that have any progress, while discussions are happening behind closed doors with no translator, witness or transcript.

They become knee-jerk pro-Gun, while children are being shot. They became anti-woman, in ways that rival the Taliban and al-Qaeda. They gave up on the rule of law, as long as near-term successes can be gained. They are the party of Hypocrisy. They are the party of Racism; some being passive when others are aggressive. The Party has become rancid and mean-spirited, it cheats whenever possible and it doesn’t care about Americans - only its own grip on power.

They used to take pride in helping our neighbor, and in saving lives. Now they throw paper towels at brown people suffering from catastrophe and give themselves a pat on the back for their efforts - then claim that the sufferers are stealing our money.

The Republican Party has no center. The last moderate was Olympia Snowe. She walked out the door in 2013, and I don’t blame her.

There will be responses to this post that shout that the Democrats lie, cheat, etc. But in your heart of hearts you know that this is a false equivalency.In truth, nobody within the ranks of the republican / conservative community in the US can name a dozen currently-serving Republicans who are worthy of respect.

Speaking of being unworthy of respect,,, Donald Trump. Enough said.

In politics, it's sometimes necessary to get dirty to win. But that kind of dirt needs to be washable. The republican / conservative party has immersed itself in the kind of dirt that pollutes the soul. The party is poisoned, and almost nobody within the party is willing to step up and revive it. In fact, it’s already too late.
