According to the UN Charter of 1948, UN General Assembly Resolution 2625 from 1970, Protocol 1 of 1977 amendment of the 1949 Geneva Convention, and UN General Assembly Resolution 38/17 of 1983, the people of Palestine have every legal right to resist foreign occupation, apartheid, and genocide through any and all means at their disposal, including violent armed resistance.
According to these exact same statutes and laws, Israel, as the occupying force committing genocide, has no legal right to self defense.
Anything that Israeli zionists and their sympathizers say that contradicts these legal and moral edicts must be interpreted as either a deliberate lie or an expression of dangerous insanity.
