Our Modern World
The leaders of the world understand somethings that few others do. There is no national sovereignty anymore. What were once nations are now postal divisions; and have been replaced with international banking cartels and multinational corporations. What was once ideology is now impotent quasi-philosophical ruminations.
Commercial viability has replaced morality and principles. The value of human life is measured only by the ability to generate profits. The political framework of the world does not resemble the economic realities that dictate world affairs.
This is the real nature of the world we're living in. It's important to understand this.
Many Americans think that voting for someone who is, at the end of the day, willingly subservient to this system will change this status quo, or that voting is an actual exercise in freedom of political speech and action that will produce a real result.
