Human nature continues to paint itself into philosophical and metaphysical corners; just because they can, doesn't mean they should, and just because they have the right to do something doesn't always mean they're right in doing it.
Humanity as a whole has not learned this lesson. We are at a stage where we are in between our biological foundation, and our spiritual essence. We are a work in progress, and this is a very dangerous place to be. We are walking a razor's edge and could either rise in what can best be described as an apotheosis (which all religions - in their pristine form - and their Prophets, mystics, scholars, and teachers have attempted to teach a method to achieve); or to fall into utter ruin. There can be no middle ground, because, owing to the factors of Ruh / Spirit, free will, and the contrast between intelligence and hierarchy, for us human beings to degenerate to a corruption of our animal nature will destroy us.
Those in positions of government, industry, and finance who have built this power infrastructure and devoted their attention and resources to protect it from enemies real and imagined have made a devil's bargain - literally. They sold their fledgling apotheosis for a state of slavery to their own material concoction. All their science is devoted not to the spiritual and worldly enrichment of humanity, but to the perpetuation of their "way of life." Yet it is a Frankenstein's monster that is rampaging out of the control of its creator. And they must continue to fall deeper and deeper into the trap they made for themselves in order to keep rebuilding their collapsing house of cards.
And they fail to foresee that the thing they have created, and inevitably, what they themselves will become, will be something intolerably horrifying to them, and not resemble what they originally intended. Their own inventions will betray them.
At the root of it is an animalistic fear of loss of position and resources, for which they must constantly compete, and an uncontrollable urge to fill a spiritual emptiness and void in their own souls that they can never fill. How else does one explain their actions? They have the ability to feed, clothe, and educate all 7 billion people on this planet; yet most people starve and live in poverty and ignorance. They claim (if they were to speak with honesty, which Shaitan does from time to time) that they are only interested in power.
But behind that is the fact that they are merely animals with the souls of corrupt djinns who use their brilliant achievements to ends that insult the very essence and potential of humanity. In the end, their intelligence, skills, wealth, and power means nothing and will profit them in not the smallest way.
Humanity has had an inner struggle since the beginning of its earthly existence. It finds itself in an overlap between the spiritual and corporeal, between good and evil, between its angelic and animal nature. It fights to resolve the conflict between intelligence and hierarchy. The repercussions of free will accumulate in ways few can comprehend. This is a process of energy, and that energy has to go somewhere.
To further demonstrate and augment their complete insanity, they raise their swords against the only people on earth who are qualified to divert them from their path of self-annihilation.
Humanity is out of balance with itself. This imbalance will correct itself. This will not always be a gentle process, and the casting off of our own spiritual impurities will pay no heed to human mortality or convenience.
There can be no solution to any of this unless humanity changes itself. There is evidence of people attempting this. And I do not mean the transhumanist cult. They are making a very serious error: and fail utterly to realize that they are falling into the same trap others have fallen into, through the worship of technology (and all technology, from a stone axe to the James Webb telescope, is merely a prosthetic of human consciousness). Nor do I mean a majority of what like to I call "new age fluff bunnies." They are merely playing with useless amusements. And 90% of the world's organized religious bodies are merely governing bodies that sustain yet another quasi-idealist hierarchy that inevitably falls into the same trap as anyone else.
The solutions to all of this have been right in front of us since the very beginning. There can be no realization of the purpose of human life without the acknowledgment and immersion into Oneness. What Islam calls "Tawhid." But even "tawhid" is, for many (even many Muslims) just a word who's meaning is lost or misunderstood. If the Prophet Muhammad (sas), and all the Prophets before him (as) were, as the Qur'an described as "Usswatun hassanatun" - beautiful examples / templates of conduct (and I believe they are), then this shows they not only did something (for the word "Islam is a VERB describing an ACTION - another lesson people often fail utterly to understand), but ARE something: a superior manifestation of humanity. This is what other people lay claim to, and delude themselves into ignoring their own failure to do so.
Friedrich Nietzsche spoke of the "ubermench" - the "Beyond-man." Most people failed to understand him - and his own explanations were often shrouded in metaphor that few can correctly interpret (his claim that "God is dead" is a perfect example. What it meant truly - or more accurately, the external reality of the statement free of human emotionalism - is that the idolatry that man assigned to Divinity was born of human imagination and intelligence and is dying from human imagination and intelligence). The Ubermench, the highest manifestation of human life, fully developed, fully aware, and clear in purpose and essence, can only be Muslim. And it is important to point out that the definition of “Muslim,” especially in this context, is one who submits/aligns/harmonizes his/her will with the Will of the Absolute and Eternal, Ultimate Reality/Being Allah.
